I didn't really like it. Pick any other book from this author. She is truly amazing. And a great read.This one - pass by.
Scarred and Kilt
She has a vampire neighbor. She has no fear of him, and "saves" him from killers out to get him. He decides to keep her. This one was predictable. It also was very strange. If she was attacked once, I would think she would be nervous around a strange man.
Lacey and Lethal
Lacey is a vampire hunter and a great marksman. She and her team capture a vampire. And instead of killing him, she jumps his bones. This one was a bit more believable because she is very sick of all the vampire killing. It's interesting that her group has never killed a "good" vampire yet.
Mine to Chase
I couldn't get through this one. It was a short story and I couldn't read it to the end!!! That is so not me. I found Jasmine to be likable, but Chase is just an real jerk. He leaves Jasmine and runs to do other things. More important things. Maybe Chase gets better later in the book.
So:
Sex - Yes, and of course well written
Story - Not really a great story behind any of them.
Characters - Don't get me started, I wrote enough above.
Re-read - Sadly no - this one just wasn't for me.
Overall - I didn't like it. However - if you like a very fast read, these are not very long. Also I would say you would have to like a more "helpless" lady. They aren't really helpless. They all have their strengths. But they all end up acting brainless. I think I'll stop there. Anyway these three short stories may work for some people.

Scarred and Kilt
This story is so heart warming ,I wanted it to go in forever. Matty and Blaron were destined to be together,there was and instant connection between them. I loved every single page of their story.
Mine To Chase
This was a short story that was well worth the read.I fell in love with Chase and I'm sure you will too.
Lacey and Lethal
I've read most of Laurann Dohner"s books and this one caught my eye because I love anything with vampires and werewolves.I was not disappointed.This book was fast paced,engaging and I was swept away by the immediate attraction between Lacey and Lethal.I loved this book!!
Okay, so it's been a minute since I've actually had the time to write a review on a book I actually liked. So here goes...
I was right. #3 in this book totally blew stories 1&2 out of the park. Though 1&3 are actually my faves.
My rating for all 3 stories here separately, are as follows.
#1- 4 and half ****s
#2- 3***s
#3- 5*****s
Story number two was okay. I just was not feeling their overall coupling and how they came to be. But certain aspects of their plight as individuals was still interesting for me.
If you are fans of Mrs. L.D. (New Species Author), you will definitely appreciate the insta-love she has rocking here with these characters of hers in a traditional Vamp/Werewolf setting.
I really like just the overall ambience and layers that come with this mini trilogy.
So if you liked New Species and are curious, I would recommend this read.

Claws and Fangs 1-3 is 3 books in 1. These stories are of Vampires and Werewolves. But mostly about Vamps!
The first story is Scarred and Kilt. It is Matty and Blaron’s (aka Kilt) story. Matty called Blaron, Kilt before she knew what his name was. The obvious answer is he wears kilts. Scarred is Matty because her face has been scarred from an attack on her several years ago.
The second story is Lacey and Lethal’s. Lethal and Blaron were made vampires at the same time and are both several hundred years old. Lacey as it says in the synopsis, hunts down Vampires and kills them. Vampires had killed her sister.
Lacey took down Lethal with a drugged dart. She is a sharp shooter and works for a group of Vampire killers.
The third story is Jasmine and Chase’s. Chase is a mixed breed. He is part Vampire and part Werewolves and he is the leader of the werewolves. Jasmine and Chase meet when she has been kidnapped by a rogue vampire and Chase rescues her.
All three stories were good and interrelated. I give Claws and Fangs 4 stars.
I really liked the first two stories, but the last one,"Mine to Chase", I didn't care for. Really didn't care for Jasmine, the heroine. The way she was written left me shaking my head through most of the story. Example She's found in a cellar that she had been in for days, with 6 decaying bodies, and she was chained, starved, dehydrated and has been chewed on, most of her blood drained by a deranged rogue vampire and whether she thinks she is hallucinating or not, she is having sexual feelings for the guy (she knows him some), while he is down in the cellar rescuing her.
It's a lot of the same through the story...too much sex and not enough of the story. And I don't care who you are...especially if your human, going through what she went through, your not going to be having sexual feelings while being rescued, your going to be too traumatized with what you just went through.
Ok, so I love Laurann's books, Species and others. But this, not really. I mean the writing was good. The plots interesting. The heroes strong and the heroines both strong and fun. So what was the problem. I wish I knew. Something missing in all three stories. Perhaps the love was just too easy. Man immediately lusts after female. Realizes 10 minutes later it's love and forces the idea down females throat. I really hate when the hero can mind read or mind control humans, to include their "One". It's no real contest and as such, not romantic. It's about what he "wants". Come on Laurann, you can do better!
I didn't really like it. Pick any other book from this author. She is truly amazing. And a great read.
